Anything beyond that point is underplayed as throwaway gags while the story loses momentum shifting its focus to Leo's determined sleuthing. It's as though someone forgot No Clue is a light and undemanding comedy showcase for Butt. The entire premise is a contrived set-up that invites comparisons to rapid fire gag reels from the Three Stooges or Abbott and Costello. However, what's left after a half hour of wall-to-wall laughs unfortunately drags and sputters under the burden of Leo's need to solve a mystery that isn't very funny and doesn't really matter. As for the supporting cast, they're all pretty much forgettably interchangeable stock players and open mic skit fillers. Smart wastes her time here, too. No Clue is an absolute must-see for Brent Butt fans that's definitely worth checking out on the small screen. SEO keywords aside, the story starts off strong with a wealth of truly funny scenes, but the fun is soon overthrown and deflated by the theme's unimportant mystery populated by a woefully under-utilized supporting cast of otherwise promising and proven talent.
